4/4 Made in Germany

Handcrafted from selected European tone woods, antique varnished, Dominant strings.

Roderich Paesold, born in 1891, grew up surrounded by musical instruments in a family deeply involved in the industry. His family's business, started by his grandfather in 1848, thrived under the name "Flügelnell" as an exporter of musical instruments. Roderich joined the family trade after his apprenticeship, specializing in bows and instrument exports. During World War II, he was stuck in the UK, which later benefited his business.

After the war, Roderich settled in Bavaria and revitalized the family bow-making business, earning a global reputation for craftsmanship. Many renowned bow makers trained or worked in his workshop. In 1968, W. Schreiber & Sons acquired his company, which expanded into high-quality string instruments. Boosey & Hawkes later integrated Paesold into their group, broadening global sales.

Since 2004, the traditional Master workshop has been under family ownership again. Today, Paesold continues to excel in the global market through extensive research and development, offering some of the world's finest musical instruments.
